9 YEARS! Can you believe it?! I can't believe it has been that long. It seems like it was just yesterday that we were in Vietnam waiting for them to bring us our beautiful baby boy! Vietnam was life changing for Jeff and I. People may tell you what life is like in other countries around the world, but it is hard to fathom until you are there. When we were in Vinh, an 8 or 9 year old boy came up to Jeff and held out his hat for money. After giving him some money, Jeff asked our facilitator who the boy was, etc. The boy was an orphan. He had no family and lived on the streets. He was hungry and hoping to get enough money for food. I don't know if it is the same now, but when we were there in 2003, boys were only allowed to live in the orphanage until they are 8 years old. It is heart breaking that there are so many children that are desperate for loving homes.

People constantly ask me if I am going to adopt again. I pray that we will. Adoption is the only way that many of these children will know LOVE, true unconditional love. It is also the only way that they will know the love of God. If it was up to Jeff and I, we would definitely adopt more. It is a huge part of our lives and we believe that adoption is a blessing from God. I constantly pray for both of my children's birth parents. I don't know them, and I don't even know if they are still alive. I also pray for our future children, if we do have any.

Today is Liem's special day, we always celebrate Gotcha days with lunch/dinner with family and a cake. I can't believe how fast time goes by these days, I wish we could hit the "pause" button for a while! I love this sweet boy more than I can even say. He is amazing, and I can't begin to imagine life without him! Time to take a trip down memory lane!!

Christmas 2011

I realize I'm a not posting updates as often as I should be, I can't seem to find the time these days! We are all doing great, not too many changes around here. We had a great Christmas! It was so much fun to be able to stay home for 4 1/2 days with Jeff and the kids! Below are some pictures of the kiddos!
